Revolutionizing Snow Management with ArcGIS Velocity

Like most local or state governments, we struggle with getting the word out to residents concerning the status of streets getting plowed during and after a snow event.  Our phone lines go crazy with “when will my street be plowed” or “I’ve lived here for 10 years and I’ve never had a plow on my street”.  We typically get around 100 calls a day during a storm.  Today we are going to demonstrate how we are addressing these problems.

Magna's Historic District Revival 3D Web Experience

Magna’s Historic District Revival plan is a culmination of work from several planning and development disciplines including long range planning, economic development, GIS, and drone operations. Long range planning has traditionally been limited to 2D formats like PDFs, posters, and maps but that has changed with the MSDs blend of ArcGIS Urban, SketchUp, and 3D drone products. This union of technologies has created a planning and development tool that combines existing conditions with future scenarios to visualize impacts and measure development costs and returns. The Magna Historic District Revival website, created using ESRIs Experience Builder, allows planners to engage stakeholders in a new and exciting format.
